We welcome you to become part of this wonderful community. Mick has been a resident since 2002 and Donald since 2004. After 12 years together, we have fulfilled the dream of creating a home that was designed by us, made for us, and that will help us remain rooted in this one-of-a-kind place we can’t wait to share with you. We have enjoyed an outpouring of community support and benefitted from the skill, creativity and workmanship of local artisans who assisted us in making our dream come true. Perhaps the best thing about Livingston is the friendly, welcoming people that make up this extraordinary small town. We have included a few articles reflecting Livingston’s warmth and diversity, within the concierge booklet in your room.
Previous to A Stone’s Throw, we had the opportunity to rescue one of Livingston’s original 1891 Northern Pacific Railroad cottages. It was located on C Street, 6 blocks away on the other side of Main Street. We chose to highlight the home’s craftsman detailing and entirely reconstructed its back barn dating to the early 1900s. As a result it was published in Sunset Magazine (July 2009 Issue), and American Bungalow (summer 2010, Issue 66). At A Stone's Throw, we have recreated the cozy, welcoming atmosphere of that historic cottage on a somewhat larger scale and included modern amenities that will make your stay even better. We are looking forward to sharing it with you and other travelers from all over the world. Please come and let us help you discover what Livingston and Montana are all about.
